Growing up, if you couldn’t find what you were looking for or it was beyond reach, you made it!
Whether it involved sewing, woodwork or cooking, nothing was impossible. That was the legacy left by my mum, Penny. She is the reason I still make things today.
Since starting the business last year, it quickly became obvious that it was outgrowing just me by myself and asking Nicki to join me has been the easiest and the best decision I could have made!
Nicki (by Kathryn)
I have known Nicki since her and her husband moved with their three daughters to the neighbouring Hampshire village in 2011.
She has an incredible eye for design and has restored and transformed their 16th Century ‘crumbling’ house into the most beautiful and stylish family home. The envy of all who cross over the threshold!
Nicki has an abundance of enthusiasm and when she puts her mind to something she hurtles towards her goal full pelt. You can’t help but get caught up in the excitement and her unwavering attention to detail, means that the end result will always be something just that little bit more special than you ever thought it could be.
Our business meetings are a little unusual and happen whilst we walk the dogs (a whole pack in Nicki’s case!) in the local forest.
Kathryn (according to Nicki)
Kathryn is a bit like Mary Poppins, “practically perfect in every way”! She is a brilliant vet, mother to 3 delightful children under 7, keeper of enough animals to make a farm (plus bees), on every committee known to man, devoted wife to another vet, beautiful, stylish, beeswax wrap maker and still, in the words of her children - has time to play!
Despite all these flaws you can’t help like her - she is super funny, kind, generous and makes the best shortbread ever (and I’m Scottish so I should know).
